Tower of God

Tower of god was probably one of the most anticipated anime of the year with it having a massive fanbase due to it being a manhwa or korean manga. Along with crunchyroll themselves hyping up its release this quickly became something everyone was excited to watch. The show spanned about the first 80 chapters of the original manhwa, and believe us when we say that you will want to check out the manhwa if you enjoyed the anime adaptation.

Re:Zero season 2, another highly anticipated anime due to the success of the first season. This second season was filled with lots of moments that made all of the viewers say “woah” and “wow”. I can assure you that if you liked the first season you definitely will like this one.

My Teen Romantic Comedy Climax! (SNAFU)

Now this anime was also really anticipated by a lot of people, as you can tell from the title is the Climax to such an amazing anime, SNAFU. This final part of SNAFU is really bittersweet because you get to see an amazing ending but the thing is, you get to see the ending. All I’ll say is, you better have a box of tissues if you watch it.

Jujutsu Kaisen

This anime had a really large fanbase right off the bat because of the manga. Supposedly the manga is an amazing Shounen manga with popularity far beyond that of My Hero Academia and other shounen titles. I can say without a doubt, all the hype surrounding it isn’t just random, this anime deserves all the hype it has because of every single aspect of it. If there’s something that deserves to be watched on this list, it’s definitely this one.

Nekopara

Whilst not as popular as the others on this list we feel like this one needs some recognition too. If you’re not familiar with the name, Nekopara was only a visual novel that you could play on your pc. It’s amazing how the fact that a visual novel about cute adorable cat girls got enough recognition to the point where an anime adaptation was made for it. If you’re going to watch this, be ready to be overflowing with cuteness.

Conclusion

This year didn’t have much anime due to the current events in the world but the ones we did get were definitely amazing. There were some other anime that certainly could have been on this list but we decided to limit it to 5. If there is an anime you think should have been on this list please tell us in the comments area below the article. If you want to read about some of last years highlights, check out Anime of 2019 here. Otherwise happy holidays and Merry Christmas to everyone.
